FACE AT THE MOTORSHOW
This is a portrait of a girl at the motorshow. In such
circumstances it is usually not possible to use `good` lighting.
The flash has to be on the camera.
This was taken with FP4 at 200 ISO and a 70/210 zoom. The flash
had a piece of opal plastic fitted round the tube with an elastic
band. You can buy these fittings, but mine are made from pieces
cut from semi-transparent margarine containers fastened to the
flash with elastic bands - and they work.
The other point here, of course, is ask permission to take a
picture. Most people will oblique. If you intend to shoot pure
candids, expect the odd bad reaction !
