  2. FACE AT THE MOTORSHOW

  4. This is a portrait of a girl at the motorshow. In such
  5. circumstances it is usually not possible to use `good` lighting.
  6. The flash has to be on the camera.
  7.  
  8. This was taken with FP4 at 200 ISO and a 70/210 zoom. The flash
  9. had a piece of opal plastic fitted round the tube with an elastic
  10. band. You can buy these fittings, but mine are made from pieces
  11. cut from semi-transparent margarine containers fastened to the
  12. flash with elastic bands - and they work.

  14. The other point here, of course, is ask permission to take a
  15. picture. Most people will oblique. If you intend to shoot pure
  16. candids, expect the odd bad reaction !
